Block Quiz

 For this quiz we had to make a shape we randomly took. We had to do it on our own to make sure we understood the assignment before. I colored the shape to show the axis. I had to add the dimensions to be more noticeable. The purple in the middle show you can see the for two axis.

12 Blocks with Precise Dimensions

 The block are the twelve I need to make for this assignment. The block are in order which I had to do them. I used the dimension tool to get the measurements as close to the image we got. I used the line and rectangle tool to make the shapes. The push and pull was used to get the right positioning for how three-dimensional the shapes were. I had to offset the push tool to get rid of sides of the shapes not necessary. The dimensions can be seen on the image above.

Sketch Up Practice

We started to learn how to use sketch up. We made three shapes to start basics. The triangle we made of lines while the circle and rectangle were made with tools.

In the image above we used the push and pull tool to look at three dimensional shapes. The rectangle was made withe the three axis visible which helps us see all six sides of the shape. The different color line is sketch up showed us the axis the red was x-axis, the blue is y-axis, and the green is w-axis.

We had to show what we learned so we wrote our names and made them three dimensional. I used circle, rectangle, arc, and line tool to make my name in two dimensions. Then I used the push and pull tool to make it look three dimensional.

Realistic Phone

This week we were creating a realistic phone. We used adobe illustrator to create the phone. The phone is made of shapes and different gradient shades. We had to add our names to the phone and the school name. The phone has numbers and letters to make it more realistic.

Creating a Flash Drive

I created a realistic flash drive in adobe illustrator. We used different shapes for the outline of the flash drive. I made the body is a rectangle and a eclipse on the bottom. We used unite to made it so that the eclipse wouldn't be visible. The gradient makes the flash drive look realistic. This task was made of of only shapes and gradient.  

ADD A SOFT FOCUS EFFECT to make a portrait glow

We had to add soft effect to a face. I choose a babies face to look softer. We used clipping mask and gauissan blur before adding the effect. The clothing is made to look soft.

Using a Quick Mask to make a detailed selection

We had to zoom in so that we could highlight the region we were affecting. We used the brush tool to pick the area. We first made the photo go into quick mask. The effect is on the dinosaurs on the bottom left corner. The quick mask made it more noticeable. We changed from white and black to remove anything we didn't want to be affected by quick mask. In the end, we turned off quick mask and selected inverse to see how the quick mask affected the place where I used it.

Using SMART FILTERS in Photoshop for dynamic adjustments.

We instructed to make a photo with motion blur. We used a motion blur filter to make the background look as it does. We used the brush tool on what we didn't want to be blurred. The smart filters made it possible to make the dinosaur have no blur. We had to change the color to black so the dinosaur was more noticeable.

Painted Look on a Face

This is a photo with a painted on photoshop. I used the changing the layer setting and using erase tool around the edges. The flag is the of the Dominican Republic. I used the smudge tool around the edges to make it contour in the right places.

Paint Effect for a Flag with Brick

We used a paint effect to make this. The flag was made to look as if it were painted on a brick wall. We had to change layer to hard light to make it visible from behind the layer. This was a quick and easy practice for my first try.

Halloween Project

We had to make something for Halloween. I chose to make a scary photo instead of a pumpkin. The filter I used was clouds. I added different type of blending to make it look this dark. The text was suppose to be scary text, but I could make it work so I just made this.

Change one thing Poster

The assignment entailed us to make a poster like one of the food bank ones. We needed to add a health fact about the healthy food. I had to copy merge to make the donut look like that. I transformed it to make it look distorted. This should make people stop and eat more healthier foods. The NYC FOOD BANK Logo was used solely for educational purpose. No Copy Right infringement was intended.

Texture with layer mode

The assignment entailed us to add a texture to some type of clothing. We had to clip together two layers. The texture I used is in the middle of the town suit, the one on the left is original, and the right is the edited image. I had to use add layers and change them to get the effect seen.

Flyer made with Photoshop skills

I made a poster in photoshop. I used different types of effects on the words. I used plastic, glass, and photo-filled. In creating the poster we had to add who, where, and when. I made the when and where in glass effect. The second time around it came out better than before. The who I made it in glass text. The poster is for a charity called extra life.

First Marking Period Portfolio
